Top 5 Wedding Advice For The Bride To Be

Top 5 Wedding Advice For The Bride To Be

Hello Darling!

I could not be more excited for todays post! It officially marks the beginning and continuation of the “I Do Style” series. If you have been following me for awhile, you may remember this series that I shared during my entire wedding planning season. It was such a blast to share posts like, Finding The Perfect Wedding Dress,  Finding The Perfect Wedding Vendors, and so on. I am now in a season of helping my little sister plan her wedding as her Maid Of Honor. As I do this, I will be continuing  the I Do Style Series but in the eyes of a MOH. To kick it off today, I am sharing my top 5 wedding advice for the bride to be.

Top 5 Wedding Advice For The Bride To Be

From the beginning of the I Do Style Series, I have received lots of questions about wedding planning and the whole process. Though I would try my best to answer each question, it was a little hard to answer or help while I was wondering the same questions myself as a bride to be. Now that it has been almost two years since Hunter and I tied the knot ( where does the time go?!? ), I have been able to take a step back and really evaluate the whole process and each question. The questions I receive quite frequently are all about advice for the bride to be. I am thrilled to share the top 5  questions and answers with you today.

  • What is your number one advice for a bride to be?

Oh this is a big one! If I had to pick on piece of advice it is to soak up every second. Enjoy the season you are in and don’t take anything too seriously. You are about to marry the love of your life and that is all that matters.

  • Do you have any hair and makeup advice or suggestions?

Go with someone you know and trust. That means look at reviews, and be honest in your H&M trial. Don’t be afraid to let them know what you think and the exact look you are going for. Side Note: If you are in Texas or out of state I could not recommend Etoilly Artistry  more. They are truly THE BEST!

  • Do you have any advice when it comes to budgets?

One of the best pieces of advice that we received about our budget is to sit down and decide what is most important to you. Whether that be food, music, flowers, etc. After doing this you will know what you want to spend the most money on and then fill in the gaps everywhere else. Also, I could not stress more to ask for favors and utilize the gifts and talents of those you love. Don’t get me wrong I was a little nervous to ask family and friends for favors but it made our wedding even more special and was nice on our budget. An example of this is, my Nana did all our flowers, and my Aunt made our wedding cake. It was amazing!

  • Do you have any advice for when wedding planning becomes overwhelming?

Take a step back and breathe. You’ve got this! You have a to do list and just take it one step at a time. If you look at the whole picture it will definitely become overwhelming. ( If you are looking for a step by step to do list and planner to make things easier for you, check out this post I did all about the Erin Condren wedding planner. It’s the best! )

  • Do you have any advice for the day of the wedding?

A sweet family friend of ours told me this on our wedding day and I could not recommend it more to each and every bride. The day is going to get busy, it will feel like a whirlwind and before you know it the day you have planned years and months for will be over. So in between the business and fun take a moment to step back every once and while and take 5 mental snapshots. These 5 snapshots will be memories you will have forever!

I can’t wait to continue to share these wedding posts with you throughout the next few months. If you have any posts suggestions, questions, or ideas let me know. In the meantime, head to the I Do Style page to check out all things marriage and wedding.

YOU ARE SO LOVED!

XOXO,Tay
