Hello Darling!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Today, I had planned on just sharing this super cute striped jumpsuit but I’ve had something on my mind and heart that I thought was important to share with you today.

Learning To Say No

Saying no is not an easy thing. As a people pleaser and one with extreme FOMO (anyone else the same way?!?), my first instinct is to say yes to everything. Whether that is saying yes to lunch, helping a friend out, attending an event and the list goes on. Now don’t get me wrong, all of these things are wonderful which is a huge reason why it so hard to say no. Over the past few months though, I have learned that saying no is so important. Saying no does not make you a bad person. Sometimes you have to first think about what is best for you and ultimately for your family. As a newly wed, I am learning that my decisions no longer solely affect myself but my husband and our family. Saying no sometimes can be the healthiest thing for you.

I have learned that saying no is a huge part of living life intentionally. For so long I thought to be intentional you had to say yes to everything. Quite the contrary, living an intentional life is making decisions with intentionality -which a lot of the times includes saying no. This has been such a hard lesson that I continually have to learn and grow in everyday. Though it is hard, I have to remind myself that in order to to do my best, love my best and live intentionally I will have to say no sometimes.

This has been on my heart so much and I hope that it encourages you today. Know that saying no is not a bad thing. It’s important to learn to put those boundaries down and live with intentionality.

YOU ARE SO LOVED!

XOXO,Tay

Girl I feel you! Saying no is so hard for me! I don’t like to disappoint others and I seriously don’t like missing out. I also just love to help people so I’m constantly saying yes to lunches or things I know I could help someone out with. But it totally does take it’s toll! I’m an introvert and so if I am out and about or on the go too much I get sick so easy and feel so drained. Saying no is still such a constant lesson for me!
