Hello Darling!
Today’s post is a little different than normal but very important. You may have heard about a movement called, END IT. This is a movement solely focused on awareness, prevention, rescue and restoration from human trafficking. Did you know that there are thousands that are enslaved and trafficked all over the US? This is not just something that is happening over seas but just down the street from where we live, where we shop, and where we work.
A few weeks Hunter and I’s church here in Houston, Bayou City Fellowship joined together to learn more about the END IT Movement, and how we can help join to support this cause , to take action, and raise awareness. Once learning more of what is currently happening all around us, my heart began to break. To think that this trafficking is happening so close to home, and thousands are being enslaved is just unbearable. So as soon as I began to learn more about this movement and all the ways we can help, I knew I had to share this with you.
How You Can Raise Awareness
Today, is the official shine a light on slavery day. It is a day to bring awareness and to take action. You might have noticed the red X on my hand in the photo, or you might have seen others walking around the past few weeks with this on their hand. This is just an easy way to bring awareness to those around us. It is an easy conversation starter, and a simple way to share what is going on.
Now a days, it is so easy to reach others all over the country and the world. So if you would like to join and bring awareness today, simply post on social media, send a picture to a friend with a red X, or spend the day with a red X on your hand. I can guarantee that others will ask why, and what an easy way to share what is going on.
How You Can Get Involved
There are so many ways you can get involved no matter where you are. You can join a local organization bringing awareness, donate money to the cause, or simply pray. Prayer is such a powerful thing and can truly move mountains.

If you are in the Houston area there are two ways our church is joining together to get involved. First, our Global Outreach Team at our Cypress campus has teamed up with His Voice Global. They will be heading to Kenya in April, July, and December. You can learn more about His Voice Global here.
At our Spring Branch campus, we have teamed up with Elijah Rising. Elijah Rising is an incredible organization that is focused on ending human trafficking by praying, raising awarness, intervention, and providing aftercare. We will be headed out with them to take van tours around our city to see where the trafficking hot spots are. Hunter and I are signing up to head on a van tour within the next few weeks. I can’t tell you how special it is for me to share this with you. My intention for TaylerMalott.com has always been to bring beauty, encouragement and love into your everyday life. This is such a heavy issue to talk about today but I am so beyond grateful to you for letting me share it. Slavery is real, so let’s join together to fight this and end human trafficking.
