Hello Darling!

I hope you are having a wonderful week! There is something that has been on my heart the past few days and I would love to share it with you today.

The Comparison Game

Our world is filled with it. Constantly comparing, competing, wanting the next best thing and so on. It is so easy to get caught up in. As women we tend to compare ourselves constantly to others. Whether that’s about our body, work, money, and the list goes on.

I found myself caught in this game throughout the past few weeks and let me tell you, it’s not been fun. I have struggled with feeling inadequate, unworthy, and simply not good enough.  Having a job that causes me to constantly be on social media, keeping up with the latest trends, what others are doing can become exhausting. Now, I want to reiterate that I LOVE what I do and feel beyond blessed to be in this industry, and to share my life with you! That being said though, social media can be hard.

When you look online, you are seeing what you might think is perfect. The truth is no one is perfect. We all struggle with something, we are all on different paths, and different stages of life. We have to remember to appreciate who we are as a person, be confident in who God made us, and be content in where He has us right now.

This morning as I was praying about my comparison struggles, I opened up my Jesus Calling Devotional to find exactly what I needed to hear:

“Start with where you are at this point in time and space, accepting that this is where I (God) intend you to be. You will get through today one step, one moment at a time. Your main responsibility is to remain attentive to Me, letting Me guide you through the many choices along your path. ”   – Sarah Young, Jesus Calling

My prayer is that today and everyday we will remember to be content in who we are and where we are at in life. We don’t want to skip ahead because we don’t want to miss out on all that God has in store. We need to let go of the anxiety, be present in where we are and hold tight to God’s promises. Let’s beat this comparison game, and instead be winning in truth.

YOU ARE SO LOVED!

XOXO,Tay
