Hello Darling!

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is on Thursday? I know I continue to say this, but this year has seriously flown by. If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen me post a poll on Instagram stories asking which pie recipe you would rather me share. The winner by far was pecan pie. So today, not only am I sharing my Thanksgiving pecan pie recipe but also the perfect Thanksgiving sweater.

First off, let’s chat about this sweater. Not only is it one of the coziest sweaters I have ever owned but it is absolutely beautiful. From the stunning rust color to the cowl neck detail this would be the perfect sweater to wear for your Thanksgiving holiday. The length is long enough to wear it as a tunic and also a sweater. You can pair this with leggings for a more cozy, comfortable look or your favorite pair of denim jeans as I did. It is also under $30 and comes in 6 different colors.

Thanksgiving Pecan Pie Recipe

This pecan pie recipe is something that my family has used and made since I was a little girl. To be honest, I can’t remember a Thanksgiving holiday without this pie and it holds so many wonderful memories for me. Memories in the kitchen with my momma, nana, and sister, watching as my momma mixed the pecans together and the smell as she would take it out of the oven. This year my sister and I are in charge of all the desserts and you can bet we will be making this. It is so delicious and also surprisingly very easy to make. My favorite way to eat this pie is with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and my grandmothers homemade whip cream.

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 cup light Karo corn syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs slightly beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Dash of Salt
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 9 inch unbaked or frozen deep-dish pie crust

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Brown butter in saucepan over medium high heat until it is golden brown. Do not burn and let cool completely.
  • Combine corn syrup, sugar, eggs, lemon juice, vanilla, salt and pecans in a small bowl. Blend in the browned butter completely.
  • Pour pecan mixture into unbaked pie crust. Bake at 425 for 10 minutes, then lower oven temperature to 325 and cook for 45 minutes or just until center of pie is barely set.

What is your favorite pie to make for Thanksgiving?

YOU ARE SO LOVED!

XOXO,Tay
