Hello Darling!

Today is such an exciting day! I have been anxiously waiting to share Hunter and I’s engagement photos with you and today is finally the day! (YAY)

We seriously had the best time taking these photos. It was so easy just to be ourselves, run around in beautiful fields, laugh, and celebrate the fact that we are finally getting married. We took the photos at Cedar Hill State Park right before I moved away from Dallas. It was the absolute perfect setting! I loved the simplicity of it and the fact we were able to capture the gorgeous nature around us. Our wedding photographer Jordan Laessig is one of the most talented people I haver ever met and we were so excited that he could take our engagements for us.

Preparing for these photos was actually not too hard. Since I was in the middle of moving I wanted to keep it as simple as possible. Here are few tips on how to prepare for engagement photos that I would recommend:

  • Pick one outfit– since I had so much going on while preparing for these photos I decided I just wanted to have one outfit and I am so glad I did. It allowed us more time to take pictures, we did not have to deal with the stress of outfit changes, and we could focus on one look.
  • Wear something that matches your wedding colors– I decided to wear this gorgeous blush dress because I wanted to give our guests an idea of what our wedding will look like and set the mood if you will 😉
  • Pick a few poses you want to capture– this is actually something I did not do, but Hunter did haha. He went online days before and saved pictures of poses that he wanted to do.  I am so glad he did this because we had some adorable poses that I would have never thought of. ( the last photo was one of them and it’s one of my favorites. )
  • Know or meet your photographer before taking your photos– I think one of the reasons we were so relaxed during these photos was because we knew our photographer. It made us so much more comfortable and it helped with the overall “vibe” of the shoot.
  • Be yourselves–  It is so important to just take a deep breath and be yourselves during these photos. You are capturing who you are as a couple, so be weird, be silly, and have fun! 🙂

I hope you have enjoyed these photos and tips. Thank you so much for letting me share them with you!

YOU ARE SO LOVED!

XOXO,Tay
