So today I am going to be talking about something that has been extremely prevalent in my life these past 6 months. CHANGE.

Change is something that I am not a huge fan of. As humans we thrive on routine, and comfort. When you take someone out of their comfort zone it can rock their world. Now I know that there are some that love change, and I envy those of you! For me change has been something I truly have had to experience and deal with on such a huge level since graduating from College.

I am sure this has happened to many of you or will at some point happen to you. So I wanted to be a open with you and share what I have learned, and what I am learning throughout this season.

  1. Change is NOT fun!
  2. Change can be a good thing.
  3. Embrace change.
  4. GOD IS IN CONTROL.

Let me explain these. Change is not very fun. I wish I could say it was but it’s not. In fact a lot of the time it hurts. The good thing about this though, is that it means you are growing. It may hurt in the moment but in the long run of things you are going to grow more than you even know. One of the best things to do throughout change, is to embrace it! Embrace where you are in life because you don’t want to wake up every morning feeling discouraged, frustrated, and sad. Lastly, the most important thing to remember throughout change is that GOD is in control. Though we like to take ahold of things ourselves, God is the one who is holding you. When we look to him, that change becomes a little more bearable, you grow stronger everyday, and you ultimately have hope that everything is going to be alright.

Someone encouraged me today to “view my current circumstances through the lens of God’s word.” I can not tell you how enlightening, and encouraging hearing that was. It’s so true that the only solid, and absolutely certain thing we have is God and his word. If we meditate on his word, and focus on that rather than the change there will be so much more peace in everything.

I would be lying if I said that this was not a struggle for me lately, but I am growing and learning. i know that God has a plan, and that someday I will look back on everything and be so happy that He had me go through this.

So if you are going through a season of change, a season growth, or a season of suffering- know that you are not alone, and that God has you in the palm of His hand.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. ” Proverbs 3:5-6

YOU ARE SO LOVED!

XOXO,Tay
